Standing on the Shoulders of Giants

Upon giants' shoulders, we proudly stand,

Their wisdom guides us, across the land.

Their legacy, a beacon bright,

Illuminating our journey's flight.

With each verse penned, their spirits soar,

Echoing through time forevermore.

Their words, a symphony of grace,

In every heart, find their place.

From Homer's epic tales of old,

To Maya's truths, courageous and bold.

Shakespeare's sonnets, timeless and true,

Resonate still, in me and you.

Langston's dreams, like rivers flow,

Carrying hope, where'er we go.

Emily's solitude, a quiet song,

Echoes of strength, forever strong.

On this day of poetry, let us pay,

Homage to those who paved the way.

For on giants' shoulders, we take our stand,

Guided by their words, hand in hand.

So let us write, let us create,

In honor of those who illuminate.

Crafting Excellence: Unleashing Your Divine Talents in a Millennial World

Dearly beloved, today we gather to reflect upon the divine selection of Bezalel, son of Uri, as detailed in the book of Exodus, Chapter 31, verses 2 to 5. In these verses, we witness not only the hand of God at work but also the manifestation of His wisdom, grace, and purpose in our lives.

Bezalel, a humble artisan, was chosen by the Almighty to craft the sacred implements for the Tabernacle. But why him? What set him apart? It was not merely his lineage, though his ancestry traced back to the esteemed tribe of Judah. It was the Spirit of God that infused him with wisdom, intelligence, and skill beyond measure.

Imagine, dear friends, the profound responsibility bestowed upon Bezalel. Entrusted with the task of fashioning objects of beauty and significance from the most precious materials known to man—gold, silver, and bronze. His hands were guided not only by earthly craftsmanship but by divine inspiration.

But Bezalel's talents extended beyond metalwork. He possessed the gift of working with gemstones, carving wood, and mastering every craft imaginable. His creativity knew no bounds, his dedication unwavering.

In Bezalel, we find a beacon of inspiration—a reminder that each of us is endowed with unique gifts and talents by our Creator. Whether we are artisans, teachers, healers, or laborers, we are called to use our abilities to glorify God and serve His purpose.

Like Bezalel, let us strive for excellence in all that we do. Let us not be content with mediocrity but instead aspire to greatness, knowing that we are empowered by the same Spirit that filled Bezalel.

Let us remember that our work, no matter how humble or grand, has the potential to touch lives, inspire hearts, and glorify God. Let us create beauty, not only in our crafts but in our words, our actions, and our relationships.

As we go forth from this place, may we carry with us the spirit of Bezalel—the spirit of wisdom, creativity, and dedication. And may we, like him, be masters of every craft, serving the Lord with joy and gratitude in our hearts.

Thriving Through Tough Times: A Faith-Fueled Journey

Dear friends, in the midst of economic challenges, it's easy to feel overwhelmed and uncertain about the future. However, today, we gather to draw inspiration from the timeless wisdom of Psalm 37:19, which assures us that despite hardships, we can not only survive but thrive abundantly. Let us delve into how we can navigate economic hardships with unwavering faith and resilience.

1. Trust in Divine Provision: 

   - In times of scarcity and want, it's natural to panic and worry. Yet, Psalm 37:19 reminds us that God's provision surpasses our circumstances.

   - Trusting in God's promise of abundance, even in the face of famine, strengthens our faith and redirects our focus from scarcity to sufficiency.

2. Practicing Gratitude Amidst Adversity:

   - Cultivating a spirit of gratitude amidst economic hardship fosters resilience and uplifts our spirits.

   - Instead of dwelling on what we lack, let us count our blessings, no matter how small, and acknowledge God's faithfulness in providing for our needs.

3. Stewardship and Diligence:

   - While we trust in God's provision, we are also called to be diligent stewards of the resources entrusted to us.

   - Let us employ wisdom in managing our finances, embracing frugality, and seeking opportunities for growth and sustenance.

4. Community Support and Mutual Aid:

   - During tough times, we are not alone. Our faith communities offer support, encouragement, and solidarity.

   - Let us extend a helping hand to those in need, embodying the spirit of compassion and communal resilience.

5. Faith in Action: Stepping Out in Courage:

   - True faith is not passive but active. It requires us to step out in courage, trusting that God will guide our steps.

   - Let us pursue opportunities, innovate, and adapt to changing circumstances with unwavering faith, knowing that God goes before us.

Beloved, economic hardship is not the end of our story. In embracing Psalms 37:19, we find assurance that through faith and resilience, we can weather any storm and emerge stronger, more compassionate, and deeply rooted in God's abundant grace.
